Our Albion Sports U23s programme is designed to be one of the leading development pathways in the region, built on a clear identity, a culture of ambition, and the highest professional standards. The programme focuses on nurturing players who aspire to reach senior football, providing them with the structure, support, and elite level environment required to thrive.

At the core of our U23 setup is a commitment to genuine player development. We deliver an intensive, high quality training curriculum that mirrors the demands of the modern game. Sessions are planned with precision, with a strong emphasis on technical excellence, tactical discipline, physical conditioning, and the psychological standards expected of players progressing into senior football.

A key feature of the programme is our clear and accessible progression route into the Albion Sports first team. Talented individuals who demonstrate consistent performance, professionalism, and commitment will have the opportunity to transition into senior training and matchday involvement. Our aim is to ensure that the U23s serve as a true platform for players to take the next step in their football journey.

The team competes in the U23s Development League, offering players a competitive and challenging environment that accelerates growth and prepares them for the intensity of adult football.

Training Schedule

We operate a structured, purposeful training schedule twice per week:

• Tuesdays – Integrated First Team Environment

  Players train alongside the first team, exposing them to senior standards, increased intensity, and the expectations required at the top level of the club.

• Wednesdays – Identity & Tactical Development

  This session is dedicated to shaping our playing philosophy. We focus on tactical principles, in-possession and out-of-possession identity, unit work, and the finer details that define how an Albion Sports U23 side performs.

Through a combination of elite coaching, a clear football identity, and a genuine pathway into senior football, the Albion Sports U23s programme is committed to developing the next generation of high-performing players who can contribute to the club’s long-term success.
